Washington University Specialty Soccer Camps: Q and A

Q. Where do we drop off and pick up the campers?

A.  Drop off and pick up will take place in front of the Athletic Center which is next to the stadium, Francis field.  The entrance to the drop off area is off of forsyth between big Bend and skinker, immediately east of Francis Field.  After you turn in go past the field and then turn to your left and go to the end of the lot.  There will be signs directing you to the area.

Q.  What time is drop and pick up?

A. Drop off from 8:15 AM to 9 AM.  Pick up is at 12:15 PM. 

Q.  What do you do in case of rain?

A.   Camp is not cancelled in the event of rain.  We will adjust our schedule and use available space in the athletic center and classrooms.

Q. My child is 8 and has been playing can he participate in the dribbling or goal scoring camp?

A.  Yes, the objective is to have players that are physically ready to work very hard for the length of the camp. We know there are players under 9 ready to compete and practice with this group.  We ask you to be discerning as it is important for your child to be competitive and successful while playing at the camp.

Q.  What do you do when the heat is excessive?

A. We are very cautious with our campers.  We know that heat stroke is an accumulative process.  We hydrate and take breaks frequently.  We will move segments of the camp to the shade.  We will make whatever adjustments that are necessary to keep your child safe.
